Baby Blossom was born on a steep mountainside, and within a few minutes of birth she not only managed to get up but made an epic journey (for a newborn anyway!) up the side of the mountain right to the top, as shown here. She is aptly named "Blossom O' the Hill", not only because of where she was born, but because of her ties back to Waverhead Stud in Cumbria. (Before adopting the "Waverhead" prefix, the late Jim Bell used the suffix "O' the Hill".)
Sassy is Janelle's new kitten. She is a silver classic tabby Maine Coon. The Maine Coon is a native American breed of cat from Maine. Sassy and Blue are littermates, and the girls just adore them!
"Blue" is Lauren's new kitten. He is a blue classic tabby Maine Coon, and is Sassy's brother. He was the runt of the litter, but Lauren insisted on having him just because he was the runt and she wanted to make sure he had a home! He probably won't get as big as a typical male Maine Coon, which often mature to well over 20 pounds. Both kittens are very sweet.

"Beau" is our male Great Pyrenees puppy, shown with his favorite treat -- trimmings from a Fell pony hoof after a farrier visit!
In their native France, Pyrs are known as Le Grand Chien De Montagne -- the great mountain dog of the Pyrenees.
