Freya is a beautiful solid black mare with some "old blood" in her dam's side. Hades Hill Fell ponies have been bred for over 50 years, and are named after "Hades Hill", one of the fells in Cumbria where the ponies used to roam. "Freya" is aptly named after the Norse goddess of beauty! She is a very pretty, true-to-type pony with excellent movement as well as a wonderfully quiet temperament. She is trained under saddle and has a good colt foal to her credit in the UK. She has since had 2 beautiful foals here at Laurel Highland Farm, one of which arrived in utero not long before it was born. She came to us with virtually no mane in 2005, having been lost to a barbed wire fence in the UK, but it is growing back! For more information, contact us. |
