Sapphire had been reserved prior to her conception, so when she was finally born we had no chance to keep this gorgeous filly.  She was a very "easy" foal - always extremely laid back -- and it was very hard to part with her.  I remember her former owner calling me and commenting, after she had arrived to their farm, "When are the drugs going to wear off?!"  At first I was horrified - what drugs?!  Of course I soon realized it was a joke regarding her exceptionally quiet temperament.  (We weren't surprised since she got a double-dose of that from both parents!)  She also has her sire's stunning head, as well as great bone, beautiful action, and lots and lots of hair.   Sapphire looks very much like a grey version of her sire, Robbie, other than she has her mother's grey color. . . and her mother's moustache!!  (Talk about hairy!!!)

As luck would have it, due to unexpected circumstances beyond Sapphire's control, we had the opportunity to buy her back in early 2008 and we gladly agreed!  It was a double bonus for us, too, since she is in foal to the Champion stallion, Laurelhighland Rambler (Inglegarth Radiant X Bracklinn Fergus).  We cannot wait to see her upcoming baby this spring!  (Check out our "Stars" page to see some photos of Rambler!)

Sapphire has a beautiful "pony" head and a huge beard that runs part-way down her neck. (i.e., underneath all that hair she has a gorgeous neck!)
